AGRO DIVISION Polygreen
WATER RESERVE FOR A BETTER SOIL MOISTURE BALANCE
PolyGreen® is a superabsorbent polymer that acts as a water reserve during periods of low rainfall and as a drainage aid in the event of excess water during rainy seasons. It can absorb up to 150–200 times its own weight in water, releasing it gradually over time for up to 20 days.
Thanks to the mechanical action of the polymer during its swelling and shrinking cycles, the soil remains softer and better aerated, helping to prevent root anoxia.
Thanks to its high absorption capacity, which does not alter the soil’s intrinsic chemical characteristics, PolyGreen® can be used as a technical tool also in Organic Farming.
VERSATILE USE
POLYGREEN® is ideal for:
GARDENING AND HOME USE
YOUR ALLY TO HAVE PLANTS AND FLOWERS ALWAYS LOOKING THEIR BEST
Ideal for all types of plants, flowers, fruit plants, vegetable crops and balcony plants. Prevent damage caused by excessive or insufficient watering. With PolyGreen®, you can say goodbye to expensive or complicated automatic irrigation systems: simply bury it under the roots and forget about it. Ideal all-year-round.

USE IN AGRICULTURE AND EXTENSIVE CROPS
THE WATER RESERVE FOR YOUR FIELD
Excess water from rainfall or irrigation is absorbed by the material and released according to the plant’s needs. Thanks to the mechanical swelling and shrinking action of the polymer, the soil becomes softer and better aerated, supporting beneficial bacterial flora and helping to reduce root anoxia.
It improves root production and development.
It is suitable also in case of fertigation, allowing liquid fertilisers to be absorbed and slowly released directly around the roots. Given its ability to improve the soil’s physical characteristics, it can be considered a soil improver.
Superabsorbent polymers are materials capable of absorbing up to 150–200 times their own weight in water.
BENEFITS FOR FARMS
- Enhanced water adsoption and retention capacity of the soil : water saving
- Reduction of artificial watering interventions
- Improved soil softness and aeration, thanks to the hydration–dehydration cycles of the granules
- Reduced soil erosion and nutrient leaching thanks to the “sponge effect”
- Improves soil structure and fertilisation efficiency, helping plants to absorb nutrients more effectively
